Turkey time now: Istanbul and the rest of the country

The clock uses your device’s current time and formats it for Europe/Istanbul. Istanbul, Ankara, Cappadocia, Ephesus and Pamukkale use the same nationwide time zone. Check your device clock if the displayed time seems wrong.

Compare Turkey time with the United States

Choose your home city to see its current time alongside Turkey’s. The comparison follows the selected city’s clock-change rules. Turkey currently keeps UTC+3, while many US cities change between standard and daylight time.

When Istanbul is at noon, New York is at 4 am during New York’s UTC−5 period or 5 am during its UTC−4 period. These are same-day examples; other times can cross a calendar-date boundary. Read our Turkey time-zone and US difference guide for the explanation and city comparison table.

Use local dates for flights and pickups

Read the date and airport code as well as the time on your ticket. A city name alone does not identify the airport, and an overnight flight can change the arrival date. Ask the provider to state your pickup in local Turkey time and specify the meeting point.
